The works by Benni Allan of EBBA Studio emerge from an investigative design process rooted in the study of context, material, and human experience. This approach embraces experimentation and collaboration, seeking to uncover unique spatial and tactile qualities.
Combining modern manufacturing with traditional craftsmanship, Allan employs CNC milling for structural precision, complemented by meticulous hand-finishing that lends each piece a sculptural presence. His material palette — solid oak, concrete, and other raw, honest substances — is chosen for its poetic integrity and capacity to evoke emotion through texture and form.
In the Low Collection, made from UK-grown oak, curvilinear silhouettes are extruded with precision, while crosscut edges reveal the natural beauty of the end-grain. Each piece reflects Allan’s architectural sensibility and rhythmic intuition — a balance between the organic and the rational, between art and function.
Here, design becomes a form of composition: rhythmic, grounded, and contemplative — a contemporary “floor culture”or Zazen for modern living, inviting us to dwell closer to the earth and to the essence of material.

Benni Allan is an architect, designer, and maker working at the intersection of architecture and the visual arts, with a strong ambition to create objects and spaces that challenge ideas of materiality, construction techniques, proportion, and form. His work is defined by a deep understanding of materials and how they come together, with a particular interest in the expressive potential of joints and sculptural forms. Born and raised in Spain, Benni has built a practice around his passions for architecture and making, which he continues to explore through his studio, EBBA, in projects ranging from buildings and pavilions to furniture and installations.
