A vessel of fleeting moments, the VENEZIA vase, created by DROZHDINI in collaboration with the Venetian manufactory Wave Murano Glass, embodies a vision in which true value lies in the purity and harmony of materials.
 
Two glass blocks are joined by a wooden element — once a tool in the act of blowing, it has now become part of the composition’s very essence. A moment is captured here — when fragility met resistance, and lightness was tempered by solidity.
 
Rooted in the Japanese notion of wabi-sabi, the wooden piece continues to “live,” bearing traces of the tree it came from, the hands that shaped it, and the fire that transformed it. In dialogue with glass, it becomes a threshold — between matter and spirit.
 
Finished by hand with delicate precision, the glass surface is softly bathed in light and air. In Japanese aesthetics, glass often serves not to reveal, but to soften — it filters, obscures, and invites contemplation. This interplay of clarity and shadow evokes “Ma” — the space between things, where form and silence meet.
